Travel RN Qualifications

Education
- BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)
- ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) Some facilities may require a BSN.
- Active Nursing License: Must hold an active RN license in the state you're working (e.g., Michigan)

Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all RNs

May be required depending on assignment:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
- NIHSS (Stroke Scale)

Experience
- Minimum 1 year of recent bedside experience in your specialty
- Some facilities may prefer 2+ years

Health & Compliance:
- Up-to-date immunization records (MMR, Hep B, Varicella, etc.)
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination (some exemptions may apply)
- Current physical or health screening
- Background check and drug screen (per facility requirements)
